SPASH NATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING HELD IN TIRANA

The National Council of SPASH was convened on March 2 and 3, 2012, in the BSPSH trade union school premises, in Tirana.
The actual problems and the SPASH future activities were addressed during its two days meeting.
In this meeting, the National Council approved the activity program of SPASH for the year 2012, which is also the 100th anniversary jubilee of the Independence of Albania. On this occasion, except the main activities, are foreseen also local activities, even one of them, planned extended presidency meeting, which will be held in November, in Vlora.

At the end of August and the beginning of September will be organised common activities with the Education trade union of Kosovo, SBASHK, where in focus will be prominent figures of our Nation that contributed to Albania’s Independency. These activities will be held in the framework of implementation of the mutual Agreement signed from the Presidents of the three education trade unions, SPASH-FSASH and SBASHK, on February 29, 2012, in Pristina.

At the beginning of May, SPASH will organize a touristic excursion in Thessaloniki and Istanbul, where the focus will be the historic subject of knowing the Countries outside Albania, where some of the Renaissance and patriots of Albanian Nation conducted activities to achieve the Independence.

In this meeting the National Council, also, approved the 2012 budget, where is emphasized the income and expenses increase for training activities addressed especially to younger members, as a result of good cooperation of many trade unions, not only with Regional educational Directorates, DAR, and Districts Educational Offices, ZA, but also with their financial sectors and especially regarding the implementation of Collective Agreement, presenting clear and updated lists of collecting membership fees through payroll. The National Council appreciated the districts sections work, especially in Tirana, Elbasani, Korça, Vlora, Lushnja, Delvina, etc, and warned some districts sections for more commitment in this direction, because SPASH has given them all legal facilities through the Collective Agreement for partnership and more qualitative work.

During the second day the National Council meeting was organized in the form of seminar where the reflection of the current situation was interweaved with possibilities, forms and working methods to be implemented in the future aiming membership increase, consolidation of trade union sections and increasing work quality of its leaders, especially in the implementation of the Collective Agreement of the first, second and school level. Problems addressed from Mr. Defrim Spahiu and Nevrus Kaptelli, where after the resume of the real situation of the membership for every structure, compared also to the payment of membership fees for the year 20122, reflected by Mr. Selahedin Llukaçej, overstepped to the possibilities and working methods to be implemented for a more consolidated trade union starting from the school level.

The more functional the social dialogue and partnership in school, the less possible will be for unidentified elements to enter and divide and destroy the union movement, like happened in some districts, and especially in Durres. To avoid this, the President of SPASH, Mr.Bajram Kruja, advised for the information, qualifications and problems’ solution from the trade unions to be distributed to all their structures and the membership of every school to be introduced to them. He also emphasized the good work done by the Head of Lezha SPA section, Mr. Pjeter Prenga, and insisted for this working method to be followed from all SPA leaders in all districts, in order to introduce the membership with trade union work on their behalf.

During the seminar, Mr. Gezim Kalaja, President of BSPSH, welcomed the participants.
He asserted the good work of SPASH towards functionality and contribute for the year 2011 in the framework of BSPSH and asked for these results to be kept and improved during 2012.

At the end, the President of SPASH, Mr. Bajram Kruja, thanked Mr. Kalaja for the support given to SPASH and the members for their cooperation.
